An Arrest Does Not Necessarily Mean a Conviction
If you have been arrested for drunk driving (DUI or DWI) it is important to remember that sometimes good people make poor choices. It can happen to anyone, whether you are a public motorist or commercial driver. You may be worried about losing your license, fines and about having to spend time in jail. I can help to ease your fears and potentially minimize the charges you are facing.
For almost a decade, I have practiced criminal law in the Mobile and Baldwin County, Alabama area. As a former county and city prosecutor, I have handled DUI cases from both sides of the table. I know the requirements the prosecution needs to build a strong case. I have the knowledge to skillfully check for police errors in measuring your blood alcohol level or processing your arrest and charges. I also have the ability, through my strong relationship with law enforcement and prosecutors, to potentially negotiate a plea agreement to keep you out of jail and the offense off your record all together.
Time is of the Essence
If you have been arrested for Driving Under the Influence, it is highly important to contact an experienced attorney as soon as possible to protect your rights and leave all possibilities for defense accessible. If convicted you could lose your license for a period of time, face possible fines or jail time and be subject to high increases in your auto insurance rates.
Time is of the essence. You have ten days, from the day you are charged with DUI, to request a hearing to keep your license from being suspended. After the ten day period expires, your opportunity for a driver's license "administrative" hearing is waived. By contacting me quickly, I can meet with you, assist you in requesting a hearing and represent you in "all pertinent proceedings, from beginning to end.
Representation of Traffic Violations
In addition to defending clients against DUI charges, I also help those who have received tickets for driving while license suspended, attempting to elude, speeding, and all other minor or major traffic offenses. If convicted of these offenses, the additional points may suspend your driver's license, make your insurance rates increase or may even subject you to jail time. By retaining my services, I may be able to get your charges dismissed all together, reduced to a lesser charge or at least get your fines greatly reduced.
